Videasy in depth

Videasy: one iframe for movies, TV and streaming pages

Videasy is a free movie and TV embed player and API. You embed a title by its TMDB ID — one iframe for a movie, one iframe with season and episode for a TV episode — with no API key, no signup, and no per-title setup. The player handles adaptive quality and subtitles, so the page around it can stay simple: a title, a description written for that title, and the player itself.

That simplicity is also what makes Videasy useful for a whole site, not just a single embed. The same URL pattern serves a single movie page, a full episode guide, or a streaming site with hundreds of titles, because the only thing that changes from page to page is the TMDB ID and, for TV, the season and episode numbers.

Videasy Player

The drop-in player: one iframe, one TMDB ID, adaptive quality, subtitles built in, and exact-episode links for TV. Videasy player →

Videasy API

The URL-based embed API: movie and TV endpoints, no key, no token, no SDK. Build the URL in any language or framework. Videasy API →

Videasy Streaming

Streaming through an embed: one player per title, lazy loading for list pages, and episode navigation built from URL numbers. Videasy streaming →

Videasy Movies

Movie-only embeds: find the film on TMDB, check title, year and poster, and paste one iframe. No season, no episode, no extra setup. Videasy movies →

How to use Videasy in three steps

1

Find the TMDB ID. Open the title on themoviedb.org, check title, year and poster, and copy the number from the URL. Do not use an IMDb ID — TMDB and IMDb numbering are different.

2

Build the iframe URL. Movies use /embed/movie/{TMDB_ID}. TV episodes use /embed/tv/{TMDB_ID}/{SEASON}/{EPISODE}. Try it in the live player tester above before you put it on a real page.

3

Put it in a 16:9 wrapper and test on mobile. The wrapper should be 100% wide with a 16:9 aspect ratio, and the iframe should fill it. Test one movie and one TV episode on a phone before publishing a template change site-wide.

Who Videasy is for, and who it is not for

Videasy is for movie sites, TV episode guides, personal projects and developers who want a simple embed without hosting video files, running transcoding, or building a player. It is not for sites that need their own video files, their own encoding, or their own DRM — an embed is the wrong tool for those jobs, and this page does not pretend otherwise. If your site's value is in its pages, guides and recommendations, an embed is usually the right choice. If your value is in owning the files themselves, it is not.

Start with the tester above. Paste a TMDB ID, choose movie or TV, and see the player load before you write a single line of template code. That one test answers most questions about whether Videasy fits your site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the Videasy API integration.

Is the Videasy Video Streaming API really free?
Yes, our API is 100% free for developers. We utilize distributed peer networks and edge caching to keep server costs minimal. No API keys or credit cards required to start embedding.
Do I need an IMDB ID or TMDB ID?
Videasy strictly uses TMDB (The Movie Database) IDs for routing. You can easily find the ID for any movie or show in the URL of its TMDB official page.
How do I embed TV shows with seasons and episodes?
To embed a TV show, switch the endpoint from /movie/ to /tv/ and append the season and episode number. Example format: https://videasy.xyz/embed/tv/{tmdb_id}/{season}/{episode}
Does the embedded player contain ads or popups?
Videasy is free because the player is ad-supported. Ads run on embeds, and that is how Videasy pays for itself. The homepage tester is ad-free by design (a sandboxed demo), but embeds on other sites run the ad-supported player.
What video resolution and formats are supported?
Videasy streams support adaptive HLS resolution scaling from 480p up to crisp 4K HDR depending on the source media quality and viewer bandwidth.
Can I use Videasy in React, Next.js, Vue, or WordPress?
Absolutely. Because Videasy provides standard HTML5 iframe endpoints, it integrates seamlessly into React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt, Angular, WordPress custom HTML blocks, or plain HTML websites.
Are subtitles and multiple audio tracks available?
Yes, our player automatically aggregates and synchronizes subtitles in 30+ languages along with available dubbed audio tracks.
What is the uptime SLA for Videasy streaming infrastructure?
There is no uptime SLA \u2014 Videasy is a free service. Streams play through distributed edge caching, and quality depends on the source and the viewer\u2019s connection.
Do I need to host video files on my own servers?
No. Videasy handles all storage, transcoding, encoding, and global delivery. You only need to embed our lightweight iframe tag.
Is CORS enabled for custom domains?
Yes, our endpoints feature fully open CORS headers so your web applications can load and interact with streams without browser restriction blocks.
How does autoplay behave on mobile devices?
Mobile browsers restrict unmuted autoplay. Videasy includes touch-friendly play overlays that comply with iOS Safari and Android Chrome autoplay guidelines.
Can I customize the player dimensions and responsive layout?
Yes, you can set width and height to 100% inside a responsive parent container with a 16:9 aspect ratio, exactly like our documentation example.
How do I report missing TMDB titles or broken streams?
Since streams are automatically scraped and aggregated from public third-party sources, missing items usually update automatically when available in our indexer.
